Welcome to the Sherborne Chamber Choir

Sherborne Chamber Choir is an auditioned group of about 40 singers from Sherborne and the surrounding region. The choir was established in 1979 and for much of its existence has been conducted its current Musical Director, Paul Ellis. We thrive on variety and sing a wide range of repertoire, both sacred and secular, ranging from the Renaissance to the present day.

We rehearse weekly during term time and perform three major concerts a year, mostly in Sherborne Abbey, both a capella and with orchestra, as well as a number of concerts at other venues in the area. The choir undertakes regular trips abroad and over the last few years has sung in Paris, Siena and Bruges.
